Alot of the info in this video is antiquated, I haven't heard anything new and alot of things have changed or are in the process of changing but this old information keeps being spread. while it might be interesting for someone that doesn't know what japan is like at all it is also not accurately representing the country as it is today, there are alot of black companies but there is also work culture where employees choose to work overtime voluntarily, this is weird to westerners but it is something that is part of the culture and since it is a country of monotony if the majority of people do something it would be bad to stand out since you may be shunned by society. So yes there is definitely a dark side of japan but don't listen to videos like this which use information that you can find as the first suggestion by googling dark side of japan. and where the person spreading the information hasn't even researched how to pronounce the japanese words they use in their own video. watch a proper documentary where they interview the people living in japan and explain the behind the scenes, to better understand how things came into being, explain people's experiences and shows the true current state of these examples in japan.
